We, Ron and Linda Duckett, are transplants from upstate New York. We left corporate lives and landed at Smith Mountain Lake, where we started this exciting new adventure.

In the beginning, the business was called Mortime Enterprises.  It offered commercial ultra-sonic blind cleaning.  We developed our business by selling blinds as well as cleaning them.

Each year we've tried to add more products.  As the number of products and services grew, a new name became a necessity.  In 2006, we changed the name to Blinds and Beyond by Mortime.

At the showroom on Scruggs Road you will also find fabric for window dressings, shades, shutters, clear solar window film, and a beautiful selection of affordable area rugs.
